Remembrance Jewellery

I have a cousin that lives in Florida. Her name is Shelley and she recently lost her husband Jerry to cancer. I can't even begin to imagine how a loss like that feels or how anyone finds the strength to carry on after that. My heart really goes out to her.
I was very flattered that she asked me to create a couple of custom pieces of jewellery to help her to remember and honour him. She sent me pics of jewellery and symbols that meant something special to both of them and I took it from there.
Here are the results. One of them is a glass vessel that holds a small amount of cremains and the other is a two sided lentil bead that also holds a small amount of cremains. They can both be worn as pendants or they can just rest quietly in their tins.
Shelley hasn't seen these pieces yet, they are making their way there from Ontario as I write this. I hope she enjoys them as much as I've enjoyed creating them. I also hope that they can bring her some peace.

More Steam punk

Recently, my sister Sue out in BC asked if I would donate some of my jewellery for a raffle. Of course I said "yes", What else are sisters for!. She really liked my steam punk themed pieces so that's what I made for her and of course I mangaed to incorporate several CaBezels in the pendant and the earrings, I hope that whoever wins them will enjoy them. The raffle is to raise funds for their new Pomeranian Club of BC. There is a dog show this week end
Mount Cheam Canine Association Dog Show at Heritage Park, Chilliwack BC from September 25 – 27, 2009.

A quick "how to" for the CaBezel Jewellery Molds

I created this a while ago. It's just a basic slide show but it's enough to get you started.
